What is Refocus 2.0?

Disability resource professionals set the tone for how a campus frames and responds to disability. Refocus 2.0 is a tool for examining the role the resource office can play in challenging stereotypes and creating truly equitable environments. You are invited to gain foundational knowledge, to explore core values that anchor us to this goal, and to reflect upon practices that influence the campus narrative around disability.

What do we believe?

Our daily decisions are likely influenced by how we view disability and what we believe about access. Spending time getting clarity on values and beliefs helps us be more effective. Refocus 2.0 is grounded in the beliefs that disability is an aspect of diversity and that access is a matter of social justice.
